Connect with God

The power of God's presence? It drives away fear.

A verse today for your memorization, meditation, or creation, whichever is your preferred way to connect with God:

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’" Isaiah 41:13 NASB

Connect with Yourself

Last week, my family was on vacation. This week is the week for all the doctor appointments. Tuesday, I went to the podiatrist and he commented how everyone is so happy right now because of the nice weather! He said he knows it won't last long, but the mild fall weather we get for a couple of weeks here brings out the joy in others.

Here are a couple of fun things to help you enjoy the love of fall:

--My Fall Cabin playlist on Spotify. I encourage you to create your own fall playlist or enjoy mine.

--Fall Phone Wallpapers. These are geared towards Thanksgiving, but you can show gratitude any month!

Connect with Others

Fred Rogers on the sacredness of being in the presence of others:

"I believe that appreciation is a holy thing, that when we look for what's best in the person we happen to be with at the moment, we're doing what God does. So, in loving and appreciating our neighbor, we're participating in something truly sacred."

Last week, my family went to Washington, DC. I didn't expect to find connection in a large, busy place. But I was reminded that history doesn't just remember the movers and the shakers, but also the thinkers and the dreamers. Just like the body needs all its parts to be effective, so does the world. What is your part to play? Read my reflection on Instagram here.

Thank you for being here!
