Connect with God

On the power of remembering God first thing in the morning:

"How we begin our morning affects how the day unfolds. True, the dog will still bark and the cereal will still spill and there will still be plenty of opportunities for frustration to creep in. But when we turn our face toward Jesus, something changes inside us: we remember who God is, and who we are to Him."

Connect with Yourself

The greatest question to go deep with people quickly:

"For you to feel fully known, what do we need to know about you?"

Take some time to reflect on this question. Use it as a journal prompt or think about it as you walk your dog. I don't really know the answer for me yet, so I have to consider this some more.

Connect with Others

The joy of sharing wonder:

"...This is one of the quietest ways we love each other. We say it like a command: LOOK! WATCH! CHECK THIS OUT! But it’s never really a command, is it? It’s an invitation… Share this moment with me. Let’s experience this together. Be in wonder with me. This delighted me. I want it to delight you too."

ICYMI: A New Tool for Connection

In case you missed last week's email, I shared a new guided journal/workbook for dreaming about living a less lonely life.

With encouragement, prompts, prayers, and Bible verses, this download will guide you into more connection with God, yourself, and friends.

Get the free, black and white download here.

Get the paid, full color version here.

Read the blog post to learn more about it here.

It's fourteen pages of reflection and dreaming on leaning into a more connected life.

May Jesus be your guide 🙏🏻

P.S. Instead of saying, "Let me know if you need anything," do this.
